Comment templates

Comment templates are ready-made report card comments, matched to a student's performance. With them, a whole class's comments can be filled in with one click. Open Exam Center → Comment Templates.

Setting up comment templates

Each template has:

• a percentage band, such as 70 to 100;
• the comment, such as An excellent result. Keep it up.;
• who it is for.

There are two kinds of comment:

• Teacher comments apply to every class.
• Principal or head teacher comments are allocated to particular classes, so primary and secondary can have different comments.

Bands of the same kind cannot overlap or run backwards. Academium tells you if they do.

How comments are chosen

When comments are filled in automatically, Academium uses each student's cumulative average where there is one, and their percentage for the term otherwise. A band that matches exactly is used. If none matches exactly, the nearest band is used.
