Allocating fees for the term

Allocation charges a fee template to students for a term. Once allocated, the fees appear on each student's invoice. Open Student Accounting → Fees Allocation.

Allocating

  1. Choose the class, section and term.
  2. Choose the fee template.
  3. Choose the due date.
  4. Tick the students to charge. Academium shows how many students there are and how many already have payments.
  5. Choose Allocate.

Students already allocated a different template for this term are listed separately and left out, so nobody is charged twice.

Allocating when you admit a student

The admission form can allocate the class's fees as you admit a student, so new students do not need allocating separately. See Admitting a student.

Removing an allocation

Untick a student and choose Remove, or use Remove on their row. Academium asks you to confirm.

Reminders

Catch Up reminds you when a term starts without fees allocated.

Common issues

"This term is locked, so allocations cannot be changed." Ask the School Owner to unlock the term for a while. See Sessions and terms.

"Select a due date before saving." Choose the due date, then allocate.

A student is missing from the list. They may already be allocated a different template this term (see the separate list), or not be enrolled in that class and section.
