Signing in for a test in the lab
During supervised tests and exams, the lab can control who signs in where.
Seat Already Assigned
If the computer is a seat kept for another student, you see Seat Already Assigned, with the seat and who it is for. Go to your own seat.
If it is a mistake (for example, your computer is broken), click Request Temporary Access, type a reason, and click Send Request. Wait for Access approved!, then sign in.
Staff approve requests under Computer Lab → Login Requests. See Login Requests.
Temporary passwords
For some exams, your teacher gives you a one-time password, often printed on a docket. When the sign-in page says Temporary Password Required, use that password instead of your usual one. Temporary passwords start working 20 minutes before the exam.
Borrowed computers
If you were given temporary access to another seat, Surepass shows Temporary access expired when it ends, and signs you out after a countdown.
Location Mode (staff)
While staff are matching computers to seats with Auto Arrange, lab computers show Location Mode with Skip and Locate buttons instead of the sign-in form. See Laying out a lab room.
