Exams
Exams are formal sittings: mid-term, end-of-term or mock exams. They are usually sat in a supervised computer lab, with seating.

How exams differ from tests
Exams are built, scheduled and watched exactly like tests. Follow the guides under Tests, with these differences:
- Each exam gets an exam code, such as
EXAM-2026-AB12CD. - On the Details step, the Assessment Type links the exam to the student result report, for example "Exam".
- With Auto marks, each question keeps the marks set when it was added. With Manual, you set marks for all questions or for each class.
- The calculator is a scientific calculator that students can move around the screen.
- Students see their results only when the school releases them.
The guides that apply to exams

- Adding questions to a test
- Scheduling a test
- Seating and temporary passwords
- Watching a sitting live
- Student Trends and the Integrity Report
After the exam, mark theory answers in Manual Grading, check the Class Result, and send the scores to Academium SMS if your school uses it.
With Academium SMS
The exam's assessment type matches a component of the term's exam in SMS, such as Exam, so the score lands in the right place. See Mark Distribution in SMS.
