Lab Rooms

A lab room is a map of a computer room in your school or centre. Linking a test or exam to a lab room lets you give students seats and keep each student on their own computer. Open Computer Lab → Lab Rooms (centres: Lab Allocation).

Creating a lab room

1. Click New Lab Room.
2. Enter the Lab Name, such as Computer Lab A, and an optional description.
3. Enter the number of Rows and Columns of the grid.
4. Click Create & Open Editor, and lay out the seats. See Laying out a lab room.

Managing lab rooms

Each room shows its grid size and its numbers of seats and empty cells.

• View Lab: the room as it is now. See Viewing a lab and locating a computer.
• Edit Layout: change the seats.
• Edit Details: rename it, or set it Active or not. Inactive rooms cannot be chosen for new schedules.
• Delete Lab: removes the room and all its seats.
