Class Timetable
The timetable builder puts a class's whole week on one screen, so you can plan it in one go.
Before you start
Assign subjects to the class and section. The builder only offers subjects assigned to the class. See Subjects.
Opening the builder
Open Academics → Class Timetable, choose the class, section and term, and open it in the builder.
Generating a week with the Schedule Builder
The Schedule Builder fills in a whole week from a pattern:
- Enter the start time, the length of each period, the gap between periods, and the number of periods per day.
- Say after which period the break comes, and how long it lasts.
- Optionally add a room and a teacher.
- Generate. Subjects rotate through the periods, starting at a different point each day so the same subject is not always first.
If a subject already has a teacher in the timetable, generating can keep that teacher.
The result is a draft. Nothing is saved until you choose Save Week.
Adjusting the timetable
- Drag a lesson to a different time on the same day. Lessons keep their length, and the times around them adjust.
- Copy a day to every other working day, then change what differs.
- Edit any period's subject, teacher or room directly.
Academium shows when you have unsaved changes. Save Week saves the whole week at once.
Common issues
"No subjects assigned." The class has no subjects yet. Use the Assign subjects link to assign them.
Saving is refused. Academium explains which periods are incomplete. Every period needs a start and end time, the end must be after the start, and every period needs a subject unless it is a break.
Viewing and printing a class timetable
Open Academics → Class Timetable and choose the class, section and term. The week is shown without weekend days. Use print preview to print it for the classroom wall.
Search for a class and use its timetable shortcut to get there quickly.
