# Your first sign-in

Once the server is linked and set up, sign in to Surepass itself.

1. Open Surepass on a computer with the **Client Edition**. It finds the school server by itself.
2. Enter your **email** and the **same password** you used to link the server.
3. Click **Log in**.

You land on your **Dashboard**. The menu on the left shows everything you can manage.

## Your password

Your administrator account on the server starts with the same password as your Academium account. You can change it on the server later: in the control panel, open the **Portal** tab and click **Reset Admin Password**. You confirm with your Academium password first.

## Common problems

**"These credentials do not match our records."** Use the email you linked the server with. If you changed the password on the server, use the new one.

**The page asks for a security code.** Two-factor sign-in is on for your account. See [Two-factor sign-in](https://helpcenter.academium.com.ng/academium-surepass/article/sp-two-factor-sign-in.md).
