# Your child's own device

Your child can sign in on **their own computer** with a **login code**, with no password.

1. Open **My Children** and click **Controls** on your child's row.
2. Click **Generate login code**. Surepass sets your child up online, which needs the internet.
3. **Copy code** and give it to your child.
4. On their computer, your child opens the Individual Edition, chooses **Other ways to sign in → Sign in with a child code**, and enters the code.

The first device to use the code becomes your child's device. Only that device can use it until you reset it.

- **Reset device** lets your child sign in on a different computer.
- **Generate a new code** replaces the code; the old one stops working.
