Choose the edition from the Academium downloads page, or from your school server's own download page.

| Edition | Install it on… | Used by |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Server Edition** | One computer that stays on at school or at the centre | The School Owner or Centre Owner sets it up once |
| **Client Edition** | Every lab computer and staff computer at school or at the centre | Staff and students who use Surepass on school computers |
| **Individual Edition** | A personal computer at home | Students, parents and independent teachers |

## Which computers are supported

- **Server Edition**: Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), or Ubuntu Linux (an LTS version). See [Choosing your server computer](https://helpcenter.academium.com.ng/academium-surepass/article/sp-choosing-your-server-computer.md).
- **Client Edition** and **Individual Edition**: Windows computers.

## You do not need to download Client and Individual separately

Once your school server is running, it offers the **Client Edition** and **Individual Edition** installers from its own download page. Computers on your school network can install them from there, with no internet needed. See [Connecting computers to the server](https://helpcenter.academium.com.ng/academium-surepass/article/sp-connecting-computers-to-the-server.md).

## Common questions

**I am a school student. Which edition do I install at home?** The Individual Edition. Sign in with your school's code and your 4-digit login code. See [Signing in with a school or centre code](https://helpcenter.academium.com.ng/academium-surepass/article/sp-signing-in-with-a-school-or-centre-code.md).

**I am a parent. Which edition do I install?** The Individual Edition. Create a parent account, then add your children. See [My Children](https://helpcenter.academium.com.ng/academium-surepass/article/sp-adding-your-children.md).

**We are a school. Can we run exams without a server?** No. School tests and exams run on your school server, so students can sit them without the internet.
