Two-factor sign-in adds a second check after your password: a **6-digit code**.

## Getting the code

- **Authenticator App**: open your authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or Authy) and enter the 6-digit code it shows.
- **Email Code**: Surepass emails you a 6-digit code. Click **Resend code** if it does not arrive.
- **Recovery code**: if you lose your phone, enter one of your saved recovery codes.

## Setting up an authenticator app

1. When asked, choose **Set up authenticator**.
2. **Step 1 — Scan QR Code** with your authenticator app, or type in the **Manual entry key**.
3. **Step 2 — Confirm with a Code**: enter the 6-digit code from the app.
4. Save your **recovery codes** somewhere safe. Each one works once.

Not ready? Click **Use email code instead**.

## Common problems

**The code is not accepted.** Codes change every 30 seconds. Check your phone's time is set automatically.

**Wrong account.** Click **Sign out and try a different account**.
