# Signing in

1. Open Surepass. At school or at a centre, open the **Client Edition**; at home, the **Individual Edition**.
2. Enter your **username, email or phone number**.
3. Enter your **password**.
4. Tick **Remember me** on your own computer only.
5. Click **Log in**.

## Where your sign-in details come from

| You are… | You get your details from |
| --- | --- |
| School Owner, School Admin, Centre Owner, Centre Admin | Your Academium account. See [Your first sign-in](https://helpcenter.academium.com.ng/academium-surepass/article/sp-your-first-sign-in.md). |
| Instructor, Centre Instructor, Centre Accountant | Your School Owner or Centre Owner. If your school uses Academium SMS, use your Academium password. |
| School or centre student | Your school or centre |
| Individual student, parent, independent teacher | The account you created |

New students and staff added by a school or centre usually start with a default password. Change it after your first sign-in.

## Common problems

**"These credentials do not match our records."** Check your username and password. Students: ask your school to reset your password.
