Everyone who uses Surepass has their own account. The **type** of account decides what you see in the menu and what you can do.

## Schools

| Account | What they do |
| --- | --- |
| **School Owner** | Sets up the school server and manages everything: staff, students, classes, tests, exams, the computer lab and school settings |
| **School Admin** | Manages the school like the School Owner |
| **Instructor** | A teacher. Builds questions, tests, exams and practice for their classes, watches sittings live and marks theory answers |
| **School Student** | Takes the school's tests and exams, practises, and follows their own progress |

## Tutorial centres

| Account | What they do |
| --- | --- |
| **Centre Owner** | Sets up the centre's server and manages the centre: staff, students, batches, families, tests, exams and labs |
| **Centre Admin** | Manages the centre like the Centre Owner |
| **Centre Instructor** | Builds questions, tests, exams and practice, and marks theory answers |
| **Centre Accountant** | Looks after student records |
| **Centre Student** | Takes the centre's practice tests and follows their results |

## Individual Edition

| Account | What they do |
| --- | --- |
| **Individual Student** | Practises on their own, with past questions, drills, typing lessons, goals and rewards |
| **Parent** | Adds their children, sets practice and goals for them, and follows their progress |
| **Independent Teacher** | Teaches their own students outside a school: registers students, builds tests, exams and practice, and marks theory answers |
