# Visitor Log

**Frontdesk → Visitor Log** records everyone who visits the school.

## Before you start

Add your **visiting purposes**, such as *Parent meeting* or *Delivery*, under **Frontdesk → Configuration**. See [Frontdesk configuration](https://helpcenter.academium.com.ng/academium-sms/article/sms-frontdesk-configuration.md).

## Recording a visitor

Record the visitor's **name**, **mobile number** and **ID number**, the **purpose** of the visit, the **date**, the **entry** and **exit** times, the **number of people**, any **token or pass** issued, and a **note**.

## Prospective students

When a family visits to enquire about admission, you can also record the child as a prospective student. See [Prospective students](https://helpcenter.academium.com.ng/academium-sms/article/sms-prospective-students.md).

## Good to know

Visitor Log has its own permission, so you choose which staff can see and record visitors.
