# Results recycle bin

When a class's results are **invalidated**, the marks are kept in the **results recycle bin** first, as a batch. Open **Exam Center → Marks → Results Recycle Bin**.

## Restoring results

1. Find the batch for the exam, class and section.
2. Choose **Restore**.

> **Warning:** Restoring **replaces** any marks entered since the results were invalidated. If teachers have already started re-entering marks, those new marks are overwritten.

## When to use it

- Results were invalidated by mistake.
- A re-mark turned out to be unnecessary, and you want the original marks back.
