# Daily greetings

The top of every dashboard greets the person by name with a short message. **Daily greetings** let your school write those messages. They are managed by the School Owner and School Admins under **Employees → Daily Greeting**, or with the pen next to the greeting on the dashboard.

## Messages

Choose **Add Message** and write the greeting, up to 500 characters. Choose when it shows:

- **Any day**: a general message that can show on any day;
- a **day of the week**, for example a Monday morning message;
- a **specific date**, for example the first day of term or a school celebration.

## Salutations

**Salutations** open the greeting, such as *Good morning* or *Welcome back*. Add several with **Add Salutation**; one is picked at random each time.

## Good to know

Delete a message or salutation you no longer want; Academium asks you to confirm.
