# Call Log

**Frontdesk → Call Log** records phone calls to and from the school.

## Before you start

Add your **calling purposes**, such as *Fees enquiry* or *Admissions*, under **Frontdesk → Configuration**. See [Frontdesk configuration](https://helpcenter.academium.com.ng/academium-sms/article/sms-frontdesk-configuration.md).

## Recording a call

Record the caller's **name** and **phone number**, the **call type**, the **purpose**, the **date**, the **start** and **end** times, a **follow-up date** if someone needs to call back, and a **note**.

## Good to know

Call Log has its own permission, so you choose which staff can see and record calls.
