# Birthdays

Academium keeps track of students' and staff members' birthdays from their records, so nobody is forgotten. Birthdays are under **Attendance → Birthdays**.

## This month's celebrants

**Monthly Celebrants** shows everyone with a birthday in the month, with tabs for **Students** and **Staff**.

## Student and staff birthdays

**Students** and **Staff** let you look up birthdays between two dates, for example to plan the week ahead:

1. Choose a start date and an end date.
2. Academium lists the celebrants with their photos.

## On the dashboard

A **birthdays** panel on the dashboard shows who is celebrating, for staff whose role includes it.

## Good to know

- Birthdays come from the date of birth on each student's and staff member's record. Keep them up to date.
- Seeing student birthdays, staff birthdays and the dashboard panel are separate permissions.

## Common issues

**Someone is missing.** Their record has no date of birth. Add it to their profile.

**"The start date is after the end date."** Swap the dates.
