# Alumni

Students who **graduate** through promotion join your **alumni** list, so former students stay part of your school community.

## The alumni list

Open **Alumni → Manage Alumni**. Find former students by the **session they passed out**, their class and section.

For each person you can keep a contact record: **mobile number, email, profession, address and photo**. The list shows how many alumni have contact details and how many are missing them. Choose a phone number to call it.

## Alumni events

Open **Alumni → Events** to plan reunions and other events. Each event has a title, start and end dates, a note and a photo, and can be for everybody or for chosen classes and sections. Upcoming events are listed first.

## Good to know

- Students only join the alumni list by **graduating** at promotion, and a student who owes fees cannot graduate. See [Promoting students](https://helpcenter.academium.com.ng/academium-sms/article/sms-promoting-students.md).
- Managing alumni and alumni events are separate permissions.
