If your school opens another campus that runs separately, add it as a **branch**. Each branch has its own students, classes, fees and staff, and its own subscription.

Branches are added by the **school owner**, from the **Individual Edition**. A school server sets up its first branch only.

## Adding a branch

1. Sign in to the Individual Edition as the school owner.
2. Open the menu in the title bar and choose **Add another branch**.
3. **Step 1 of 3: About the branch.** Enter the branch's name, mobile number, city, state and full address, and add a logo. The full address is required, because each branch is a separate place.
4. **Step 2 of 3: Classes.** Choose the branch's class structure and remove any classes it does not run.
5. **Step 3 of 3: Assessment.** Choose how the branch assesses each term.

The branch is created online and on your computer, with the same ready-made settings as a new school. See [What Academium sets up for you](https://helpcenter.academium.com.ng/academium-sms/article/sms-what-academium-sets-up-for-you.md).

Academic sessions are shared by the whole school, so a new branch uses the sessions that already exist.

## Changing your mind

On the first step nothing has been created yet, so leaving simply returns you to the app. After that, cancelling **removes the half-built branch**, so it does not appear unfinished in your branch switcher. Your other branches are not touched.

## Switching between branches

Use the **branch chip** in the title bar. See [School branches](https://helpcenter.academium.com.ng/academium-sms/article/sms-school-branches.md).

## Common issues

**"Add another branch" is not in the menu.** Only the school owner can add branches, from the Individual Edition, signed in to the school.
